POWER
April 23rd, 2008 by shorewoodfisaha in Uncategorized · No Comments
The powers quote I have chosen is Frederick Douglass where he says, “Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.” I agree with that quote a hundredth percent because power does concedes nothing without demand. Demand means to an insistent and peremptory request, to want something that might be things that are not right things. Frederick Douglass lived in the slavery time he was a slave that time and the slave owners had power and they were using there power as bad way, another thing is they demanded things like to make them work for no money or another staff. The slave owners couldn’t have some power if they didn’t demanded, when the slave owners demanded things they did it in a bad way like wiping them and hit them.
One example I have for Frederick Douglass quote is my own life experience, in Africa school the teacher has the power with demanded if they say do these you have to listen like if they say sit down, if the teachers didn’t demand things and get it they will no have power. Frederick Douglass is the boy.
Guilty
April 11th, 2008 by shorewoodfisaha in Uncategorized · No Comments
The time I felt guilty is when I saw some kid in a community center take the community center play station, I didn’t know if it was his so when he took it I didn’t say anything. When the people how work there, came and said were the play station, I told them a kid just took it. They told me why I didn’t tell them when the kid stole the play station. I felt so guilty about that. So I went looking for the person, because if et so guilty about. The reason is most kid how come there and play with it because they don’t have a game station, and that is the place were they make friends, I felt like I took that away, something they love. I all way say to my self I should I asked the kid if it was his or got to the staff that some kid just took the play station. If I see the person again I will go hit him or I will tell him to give back the play station or pay up. If i see another thing like that I will do everything different, so a thing wouldn’t happen like that,
